Cycling is one of the best ways to see this spectacular countryside. There are literally thousands of beautiful locations you cycle in, around or to. Cycling at a relaxed pace equivalent to that of a stroll, you’ll easily cover enough ground to complete a full forest loop, country park or even four or five local villages.
You can also take your bike on the train, if you want to explore further afield. Scotland has an excellent rail network, making almost every part of the country accessible with a bike. You can even take it on the ferry - it’s a lot cheaper than taking your car.
Cycling gives you the opportunity to cover a broad distance whilst still being able to get a distinct impression of the surrounding landscape with all it’s colours, smells and sights. In a car, this is often lost.
