Scotland’s ski resorts wouldn’t compare to the likes of Aspen and so on. Firstly the weather is worse and sometimes very unpredictable. It’s often a bit of a gamble. Having said that, it’s a lot cheaper and has some very good off-piste skiing.
The main resorts are: Nevis Range, Glenshee, The Lecht and Cairngorm.
Nevis Range is one of the larger resorts. It has an excellent range of skiing suitable for all levels. There’s a large amount of skiable area that’s well pisted and there is a little off- piste near the summit. Glenshee has some quality skiing, but can be a bit icy. It’s not as windy as the other resorts and is best suited to intermediate skiers. The Lecht is very small, but if the conditions are right, it offers excellent skiing. The size makes it more suitable for beginners than advanced. Cairngorm is also one of the larger resorts. It’s suitable for all levels - beginner to advanced. Conditions are often variable, but generally, it offers excellent skiing.
The ski season normally lasts till March, so get your skis on!
