See natural spots in Scotland during your holiday stay. Scotland has some fascinating natural wonders that are well worth checking out. Apart from the Aurora Borealis, there’s the Corryvreckan Whirlpool, Fingal's Cave, Loch Lomand and the Great Glen.
The Corryvreckan Whirlpool is located off the coast of Argyll in the Corryvreckan Gulf. On windy days, the complex tidal system that exists in this area produces massive waves, sometimes up to 15 feet high!
Fingal’s Cave can be found on the Isle of Sraffa. It’s a stunning natural rock cave right on the coast of the island. What makes it so unique is the many vertical basaltic pillars which stretch up in and around the cave. The cave was formed naturally by years of constant sea erosion, which caused a large part of it to fall away. It’s a strange, yet intriguing formation. Visitors from all the country come to marvel at it.
Loch Loman and the Great Glen two extremely well preserved natural areas, with some truly amazing scenery. You’ll find some very pleasurable sight seeing and plenty of outdoor opportunities. |
