Known as Scotland’s Castle and Whisky Country”, this is an area of outstanding natural beauty. The scenery is stunning - the magnificent Grampian Mountains completely dominate the skyline to the West. While, to the east, there’s miles of unspoiled, dramatic coastline.

Aberdeen has one of the most enchanting skylines, especially at dusk. The old town itself has a magical air of times past. Aberdeen has a huge range of first class restaurants along with a vibrant, youthful nightlife. There are things to do and see all year round. Some great shops too. Scotland’s third largest city is a modern tourist destination well worth checking out.

The capital of Grampian has some fantastic treasures right on its doorstep. Don’t forget to sample the whiskey or “Water of Life” as it’s called. There are eight distilleries you can choose from. This is the only place in the world where you can go on an authentic Malt Whiskey Trail.

Also, there’s the Castle Trail which is an absolute must see. You’ll see 11 of the finest gems in Scotland here.

Go towards the coastline. The beaches are amazing; vast, unspoiled, deserted sandy stretches, interspersed with picturesque little villages and dramatic cliff top scenery.

You can also head up to the mountains and go skiing or play on the first class championship golf courses. The choice is yours.
